I recently bought some classical SA-CD’s at a swap meet (for a very good price), and this is the one that really stands out for me. It’s 2 pianists in 5.1 audio and the sound is natural, and mighty. I also like the Prokofiev piece they’re playing; I was not familiar with it, previously!
Shame these things don’t stay in print for long; I’d be interested to hear other things that Mikhail Pletnev “arranged” (in 5.1), but Deutsche Grammophon has already cast this masterpiece back into the “only available in stereo” CD stockpile.
