New Record Stores!

2-28-12          New Record Stores!

Jazz guy Willie Bobo born 1934, Rolling Stone Brian Jones born 1942; Get in there with the pop stars (to quote The G.T.O.’s).

I’m still trying to listen to a record each day of 2012!  But have not done so during February 2012… Where does the time go, anyway?

One Response to New Record Stores!

    Hey Ron,

This isn’t related to this post, so feel free to delete this afterwards but I wasn’t sure how else to contact you!

I found a few posts on your old blogspot blog referring to Shrink and left some comments there but I wasn’t entirely sure you were likely to see them or get notifications of them anymore.

Anyway, I have recently met and gotten to know Shrink and have been exploring his music and career. We got talking about videos and I found a very low quality version of Valid or Void on youtube and let him know about it. It turns out he hadn’t seen the video for about 30 years because his copy got lent to someone else at the label and he never saw it again. The video on youtube is a pretty low quality rip off a VHS with quite a bit of colour distortion, etc.

Following a whole lot of websearching I found your blog mentioning that you had a copy of it which is pretty exciting, particularly if it is better quality. I would really like to reconnect Shrink aka David with as good a quality of the video as is possible to get hold of and was wondering if you could possibly help. Not only that but you seem to appreciate the value of preserving some musical history and I think Shrink is an interesting enough character to be worth keeping an eye on!

Think you can help at all? As some kind of reimbursement I can hook you up with any other Shrink media I can get hold of. I have a copy of his 10″ ep that I am planning to create digital copies of as well as a few other mp3s that I already have. There is also some nice photos.

My email address is renegadechic (at) hotmail (dot) com and I’d love to hear back!

    Thanks,

    Nick
